Kerala, unhurried

Nothing is scheduled until you want it to be. Then everything is.

The best of Kerala isn't behind a ticket counter — it's ten minutes from the garden gate, with people we've known for years. Tell us what you're curious about and we'll weave it into your days.

The Backwater
Boat Trip

Slip out at first light in a traditional country canoe with our boatman at the stern. Kingfishers flash across the water, church bells and temple drums drift over the palms, and breakfast waits on your return.

Prefer the golden hour? The sunset run ends with the sky on fire and fireflies in the trees.

The Tea House

Every Kerala village keeps a chai kada — a tea house where the day's news is traded and the tea is poured in a metre-long ribbon to raise the froth. Pull up a bench, order the hot banana fritters, and watch a master at work.

We'll introduce you to the toddy tapper next door too, who climbs the palms the way his father did.

The Temple Trip

Join the morning unhurried: oil lamps, drumbeats, elephants on festival days, and offerings folded into banana leaves. Our team will guide you through the etiquette so you can simply be present.

Time it right and you'll catch a temple festival — Kerala's great theatre of fire, music and procession.

the Chefs

Shop the morning market with our cooks, then take over the kitchen: fish curry in clay pots, coconut ground on stone, appams lacing the pan. You'll eat your homework at the long table that evening.

Village Walks &
Palm Forests

Walk out with one of the team past paddy fields, areca groves and backyard spice gardens. Stop to watch coir being spun, pick up jackfruit for the kitchen, and be back before the pool warms up.
